This FAQ is maintained using questions submitted by Saskatchewan repair facilities during the ImEX RPS Strategy Sessions, along with clarifications provided by SGI. It will continue to grow as new questions arise and additional guidance is received.

Do I still need screenshots when price matching?

SGI’s Response

Following discussions between SGI, SAAR and ImEX, SGI confirmed that screenshots are no longer required when documenting price matches. This change removes unnecessary administrative work while maintaining the integrity of the Parts Autonomy Program.

The screenshot requirement has been removed. Shops no longer need to capture or retain screenshots when documenting legitimate price matches.

How does the RPS Tool handle claims that are paid in multiple transactions?

SGI’s Response

SGI advised that partial payments have primarily occurred on the Estevan hail claims, where shops could receive payment for the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) portion before the final repair was completed. Since the PDR portion contains no parts, the Payment Date used for RPS reporting is the payment date from the final estimate.

IMeX Note

When a claim is paid over multiple transactions, use the final payment date for RPS reporting. As claims continue transitioning into Guidewire and the legacy GIS system is phased out, these situations are expected to become much less common.

Will SGI Canada claims be included in the Parts Autonomy Program?

SGI’s Response

SGI confirmed that out-of-province (SGI Canada) claims are excluded from the Parts Autonomy Program and are not included in RPS reporting.

IMeX Note

If SGI Canada claims do not appear in the ImEX RPS Tool, this is expected. If an out-of-province claim does populate, it should be deleted since it is not part of the Parts Autonomy Program and could affect your reporting.

What happens if an RCC claim is incorrectly identified in SGI's journal notes?

SGI’s Response

Repair facilities will be held to the information provided in SGI’s journal notes. If a shop follows those journal notes and they later prove to be incorrect, that responsibility rests with SGI, not the repair facility.

IMeX Note

When processing RCC claims, always follow the journal notes provided by SGI. Those notes are the instructions your shop is expected to work from.

What if I'm repairing a vehicle where aftermarket or recycled parts are difficult to source?

SGI’s Response

SGI is not excluding any claim types, vehicle makes, or models from the Parts Autonomy Program. They recognize that some vehicles will present fewer opportunities for parts savings, while others will exceed expectations and help balance overall performance. SGI also noted that alternate suppliers may still provide economical sourcing options, even in challenging situations.

The Parts Autonomy Program measures your overall parts performance across your book of business, not the outcome of any single repair.

What happens if a discontinued part costs more than the OEM last-known price?

SGI’s Response

No special authorization is required for RPS reporting. Enter the actual cost of the alternate part. Because the Parts Autonomy Program does not allow negative RPS, the claim will simply generate 0% RPS rather than a negative savings value.

IMeX Note

If a discontinued part requires a higher-priced alternate replacement, enter the actual purchase price. The claim will contribute 0% RPS rather than negatively affecting your overall score.
